01/13/2009: "Getting Married"

What happens when a wedding photographer gets married?

Easy, right? Just call a few friends and you're good to go.

No. not even close.

I've always had a deep respect for the amount of trust my brides and grooms place on me; I mean, think about it...you're paying me a lot of money to be at many locations at very specific times and capture your day as you envision it. But since I've started planning my own wedding that level of respect has gone through the roof! I know I have an unfair advantage, having worked with some amazing vendors over the years but it's still hard, but so much fun!!!! (And I'll probably be venting, posting, and asking for help just like anyone else).

So, who's up to bat so far:

Flowers: Devine Blossoms Silvia from Devine Blossoms
Photobooth (I may not have a ceremony location or a dress, but I have a photobooth)!!! Photo Booth Los Angeles
Engagement Photos: Charles Fretzin
Wedding Photos: Yukiko Wade. She was the first photographer I ever worked for when I was just starting out-I owe so much to her and it means the world to me that she's doing my wedding.

That's about it. If anyone has any suggestions for any types of other vendors I should know about, don't hesitate to let me know.

(And, while more photos of my recent trip will be up soon, I wanted to share this one...don't let the blue skies fool you-this is what TWENTY-FIVE DEGREES LOOKS LIKE in Ireland)
