Mission Inn Wedding Photographer ~ Nancy and John ~ The Wedding

Friday, May 28th, 2010

When Nancy called me, literally, two weeks before her wedding at the Mission Inn and said she needed a photographer, I thought she was kidding. Then, when I met her and John, I was still in disbelief. Here’s this super nice, really attractive couple wanting to book me 14 days before their wedding?

Well, OK then.

We met and about 45 minutes later we had all the details worked out; it also helped that when we did need to meet before the wedding again, our families literally live about 10 minutes from each other. Bonus.

I am still in disbelief as to how smoothly the entire day went-it was actually, AHEAD OF SCHEDULE (with Nancy being a chemist, I can’t say I was that surprised, but still…it’s a wedding, things happen). It was so ahead of schedule, in fact, that it allowed us to take advantage of a rare, quiet afternoon around the historic hotel grouns for some amazing photos.

These next two photos are why I *always* encourage brides and grooms to hire two photographers. Here is my version:

St. Monica’s Church Wedding Photographer ~ Jessica and Milton ~ The Wedding

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Jessica and Milton, thank you, thank you for your patience while I figured out the new blog. Where do I start with your wedding? I loved everything about it; the emotion the two of you were not shy about showing everyone around you, especially during your ceremony at St. Monica’s how your main priorities were photos of your family; especially grandma and grandpa, how you gave Brian and I lots of time at the beach for photos of the two of you (to all future brides, pretty please give us this much time-you won’t regret it, really!!!), your awesome reception at Dukes (bubbles! loved it!)…it was a perfect day. It was sooooo hard to narrow down photos for the blog but here are some of my favorites. They’ll be on their way to you very soon. Thank you for everything, you two. We really appreciated your ideas and your trust in us.

Ok, I have to explain the feather. Now, my brides and grooms know I’m not a fan of anything artificial in photos, but, when we were on the beach, complete strangers were offering Jessica and Milton wine, drinks…and feathers. How could you not take a feather? And they look adorable.

Porter Valley Country Club Wedding Photographer ~ Daniel and Betty ~ The Wedding

Monday, November 16th, 2009

A few weeks ago Brian and I were lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Betty and Daniel. They had the day so carefully planned and it seemed to go off without a hitch. We started off at each of their homes before heading to St. Claire’s Church in Canyon Country, CA. From there they scheduled photo time at Bridgepoint Park before heading off to a horse-drawn carriage reception entry at the Porter Valley Country Club. We had a great time at your wedding and it was such a pleasure getting to work with the two of you.
