Santa Monica Family Reunion

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Sometimes, I get to photograph the coolest occasions: Weddings, Engagements, Parties…and “Just Because.” That’s what Harold and Leah did; instead of an engagement party, they threw one just because they wanted to…I LOVE THAT. As a bonus for me, it was held at the new Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. Not only do you get stunning ocean views, but your guests get a private tour of the Marion Davies Guest House…an absolute must stop. And, if a tall, older gentleman stops, and asks if you’d like to hear the story of William Randolph Hearst and Marion Davies…say yes; it’s worth the stop.

Albert and Alex ~ The Engagement

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Wow, yes, I am shamefully behind; we’re shooting Alex and Albert’s wedding this Saturday. But, based on these photos-I know Alex is going to be a STUNNING bride and I can’t wait until their wedding.

Jessica and Milton ~ The Wedding

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Jessica and Milton, thank you, thank you for your patience while I figured out the new blog. Where do I start with your wedding? I loved everything about it; the emotion the two of you were not shy about showing everyone around you, especially during your ceremony at St. Monica’s how your main priorities were photos of your family; especially grandma and grandpa, how you gave Brian and I lots of time at the beach for photos of the two of you (to all future brides, pretty please give us this much time-you won’t regret it, really!!!), your awesome reception at Dukes (bubbles! loved it!)…it was a perfect day. It was sooooo hard to narrow down photos for the blog but here are some of my favorites. They’ll be on their way to you very soon. Thank you for everything, you two. We really appreciated your ideas and your trust in us.

Ok, I have to explain the feather. Now, my brides and grooms know I’m not a fan of anything artificial in photos, but, when we were on the beach, complete strangers were offering Jessica and Milton wine, drinks…and feathers. How could you not take a feather? And they look adorable.

Becca ~ The Sitting

Monday, November 16th, 2009

This is going to be a two-part post. A few weeks ago, Becca, one of the AMAZING coaches at Crossfit Los Angeles wanted some new photos and I was MORE than happy to take part. This is an ongoing project; the second portion has photos of coaching and some of the students at this amazing gym (check out the link for photos of their grand opening-and yours truly). Becca, thanks SO much for letting me do my thing and being an incredible subject to work with-see you for more coaching photos soon.
