I was at a loss for words to describe their wedding. Yes, it was beautiful (at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center how could it not be)? Yes, the friends and family of Billi and Kurtis came together from all over the country to help to create a meaningful day. And yes, they had a baked potato bar (I was in heaven). Instead, I’ll just share what they did. In the many years of weddings I’ve photographed, I’ve never seen a couple do this: for their cake cutting, they cut the cake and served each one of their guests (even offering some to us) so they would have an opportunity to talk to and thank everyone personally. It was really moving and we loved being a part of a day like that.
