Unitarian Universalist Church Photographer ~ Cathy and Aaron ~ The Wedding

Friday, January 14th, 2011

So, what do you get when you have a super sweet couple, a one of a kind church located in the heart of Pasadena, Red Velvet cupcakes, and a bubble blowing contest? A great way to spend an afternoon. Cathy and Aaron, above all else, wanted their guests to have fun, and it showed. As tempting as it was to put down the camera and hop right into the bubble contest (I would’ve HAD it-done), it was just as good photographing the smiles on everyone’s faces and Alan of SoCal Officiant probably gave one of the sweetest, most personalized ceremonies I’ve ever seen. Also, you have to adore a couple that makes the time in their schedule to get some photos at The Gamble House. (love that)!

I so wish I had these shoes for my wedding:

Doing a first look really opened their day up, and allowed more time for them to join their guests after the ceremony:

I didn’t have to move more than 10 feet away from the Bride at anytime to get some beautiful backgrounds:

Castle Green Wedding Photographer ~ Kirstin and Daryle ~ The Wedding ~

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

Normally, when I meet potential couples, it’s usually the bride and groom, and maybe the bride’s mom. Maybe. When I met Kirstin and Daryle-it was a little different. In a good way. I met the two of them, her mom, a couple of her sisters, and friends. I think there were 6 or 7 people and it was great. I love weddings; so to sit and talk about this wedding with a group of people as enthusiastic as I am…I was in heaven.

Kirstin and Daryle had a 12 hour party; and I don’t think her bubbly smile faded once! Their gorgeous wedding was at Castle Green and catered by Kirstin’s family restaurant, Green Street. Brian and I can’t wait to try it. Thank you to you and your families and friends for giving us an amazing day to be a part of.

Los Angeles Athletic Club Wedding Photographer ~ Charles and Christine ~ The Wedding

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

This is a long overdue blog post; and a hard one to do. Charles and Christine were such a perfect fit for us. They were referred to us by one of our favorite coordinators- Kelly at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. We met over pancakes and coffee one morning and that was it. One Engagement session later I knew their wedding was going to be perfect for us.

I LOVED working with this couple (even with the USC Marching band at the reception); they were just so genuine, sweet, funny, snarky, organized; yet relaxed…and CUTE (bonus); not only in how they looked, but how they interacted with each other; they were just fun to watch. They knew what they wanted for their photos and trusted Brian and I completely; and for that, we are touched. They were kind enough to leave a review of us on project wedding that brought me to absolute tears (in a good way, not in an “OMG what happened I think my camera exploded” way).

I was so attached to these photos I had to let someone else design their album; I was just too drawn to every image; I can remember the stories behind them (and, ahem, why we had to do certain poses-I won’t call anyone out…just sayin’ though. LOLOL!!!), what we were doing, what they said to each other during their first look…and that’s an amazing problem to have. :-)

**BTW: check out the link above for the NEW Los Angeles Athletic Club photo gallery; the first two albums are from yours truly. We are SOOOOOO excited to have photos on their new site-Thank you, Kelly!!!!
