Glendale Wedding Photographer ~ Sandra and Robert ~ The Wedding ~

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

I have got to share this story:

Brian arrived at the Embassy Suites in Glendale for some pre-ceremony shots of the guys. As they were finishing up, the limo arrives to take the groomsmen to the San Fernando Mission Church. At the same time, I was at Sandra’s sister’s house, taking pre-ceremony photos, and then time the limo is supposed to arrive to pick up the girls is upon us.

No limo.

We call-no answer. I call Brian to find out what’s going on and it turns out there was an accident on the freeway causing a huge delay. And all Robert could think about was making sure the limo picked up his bride to be so she wouldn’t worry (there may or may not have been some encouragement from the groom for the limo driver to drive on the shoulder of the freeway. :-) Maybe). Given the situation, a lot of brides would be in panic mode-not Sandra. She was as calm as could be. So, when it looked like there was no chance of the limo picking us up on time-no problem. We all got in 4 different cars and headed to the church ourselves.

We all made it there with about 5 minutes to spare and the rest of the day went off without a hitch.

Sandra and Robert had the MOST dramatic and stunning reception at Palladio . And being the people they are, they made a point to come up to us multiple times during the evening to make sure we ate and ask how we were doing. When we had a few minutes for dinner, we assumed we would receive standard vendor wedding fare.

Our jaws dropped when we saw what they had for us. Right down to the appetizers, beverages, and set-up, it was the exact same cuisine the guests were eating-we were so flattered. So after taking a few bites (and IPhone photos of the table) we headed back down for more photos and I don’t know how we all did it, but we managed to get table shots of with every single one of the 250 guests. (Brian and I are table shot masters). :-)

Sandra and Robert, I had a hard enough time narrowing down photos for your blog entry; I don’t know how you’re going to do it for the album but I can’t wait to see what you’ve chosen (I know I have a few favorites)!
