Hi, and thanks for stopping by to take a look at our work. I'm Karen Leah, a wedding, event, and portrait photographer in the Los Angeles area. My husband, Brian (he's the one with the cute accent you might hear when you call) and I run Karen Leah Photography.

Photography is something I was absolutely born to do. From the time I was in elementary school running around with my Mom 's little 110 film camera, to the time I met and married another photographer; this is it ... there is nothing better than capturing just the right moment and getting to relive them over and over again. Please enjoy the photos on my blog as much as I enjoyed creating them and being a part of these moments and memories. We look forward to hearing from you.

Point Magu Wedding ~ Janelle and Alex

Thursday, February 8th, 2018

Look at their gorgeous furbaby’s tuxedo!!! I love everything about this wedding. Janelle and Alex wanted a camp site gathering of their closest friends and family. It was such an awesome sight to walk into their reception and see the entrance way surrounded by tents (including their own perfectly accented one). We started with a wonderful first look at Leo Carrillo Beach followed by a beautiful ceremony and reception at Point Magu State Park. And Alex and Janelle did something I wish all of my couples could factor into their timeline-they dedicated almost a whole hour for photos of just the two of them. At the beach. At sunset. And I think it was totally worth it-it gave them some time to themselves on a fast moving day and more memories for a lifetime.

Altadena Wedding ~ Jordan and Charles

Thursday, February 8th, 2018

I met Jordan at a bridal show at the Queen Mary awhile back. When we met later to talk about her wedding I was so excited at the possibility of working with her and Charles! And when we did our venue walkthough a few months later I wanted to move into that private home she was using for her wedding. The home had an underground vault, private hair salon, and a stunning reception and ceremony site (check out that night time photo). Jordan, her mom, her wonderful bridal party, and the team at the home did an incredible job designing her wedding-Brian and I could’ve spent all day on just the details!!

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel Wedding ~ Deseree and Michael

Thursday, February 8th, 2018

When Deseree and Michael described their vision for their Disney/Beauty and the Beast inspired wedding to me when we met I was so excited to see their vision brought to reality. I loved the subtle charm and elegance of their wedding (and Brian, my Arsenal loving husband was even able to mostly look past the subtle nods to the Chelsea FC they also incorporated throughout their day). It was another gorgeous wedding with flawless details brought to life by Party and Be Married.

UCLA Engagement Session ~ Janelle and Alex

Thursday, February 8th, 2018

The first time I met Janelle and Alex (and their adorable furbaby) was at their engagement session at UCLA. I had so much fun with them (and furbaby snuggles are the best)! You would never know we had just met; it was such a joy watching them interact with each other. We went all over the campus utilizing every bit of our beautiful surroundings!
