Whittier Wedding Photographer ~ Pearl and Ken ~ The Wedding

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

I met Pearl and Ken through one of my best friends and I hope to add Pearl and Ken to that list; they’re just incredible people; I love the way they’re so open and honest with each other and everyone around them; and the way Ken looks at her is beautiful! They had such a lovely wedding at the Whittier College Chapel and M’s Flowers in Montebello did STUNNING flowers for her wedding; I couldn’t take enough photos of them. Thanks to DJ-Avenue for such great music, and Rita and her team at Cafe n’ Stuff Catering provided the meal; a great mix of Thai, Mexican, and the most delicious cheesecake bites ever-totally worth breaking my sugar fast over.

You guys, I’m so glad I got to know the two of you over this whole planning process; from our first meeting at BLD to our engagement session and all the planning and questions and everything in between; it’s been great. Thank you.

St. Monica’s Church Wedding Photographer ~ Jessica and Milton ~ The Wedding

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Jessica and Milton, thank you, thank you for your patience while I figured out the new blog. Where do I start with your wedding? I loved everything about it; the emotion the two of you were not shy about showing everyone around you, especially during your ceremony at St. Monica’s how your main priorities were photos of your family; especially grandma and grandpa, how you gave Brian and I lots of time at the beach for photos of the two of you (to all future brides, pretty please give us this much time-you won’t regret it, really!!!), your awesome reception at Dukes (bubbles! loved it!)…it was a perfect day. It was sooooo hard to narrow down photos for the blog but here are some of my favorites. They’ll be on their way to you very soon. Thank you for everything, you two. We really appreciated your ideas and your trust in us.

Ok, I have to explain the feather. Now, my brides and grooms know I’m not a fan of anything artificial in photos, but, when we were on the beach, complete strangers were offering Jessica and Milton wine, drinks…and feathers. How could you not take a feather? And they look adorable.

Santa Monica Portrait Photographer ~ Becca ~ The Sitting

Monday, November 16th, 2009

This is going to be a two-part post. A few weeks ago, Becca, one of the AMAZING coaches at Crossfit Los Angeles wanted some new photos and I was MORE than happy to take part. This is an ongoing project; the second portion has photos of coaching and some of the students at this amazing gym (check out the link for photos of their grand opening-and yours truly). Becca, thanks SO much for letting me do my thing and being an incredible subject to work with-see you for more coaching photos soon.
