Also, Jennifer and I had a small bet; so, here, on the internet: Jennifer, you rocked; you were ready to go to the minute! I was very impressed and happy to uphold my end of it.

We shot at one of my favorite new locations, Griffith Park; I cannot believe I’ve lived in California all my life and never found this one little section…

And then…the parking and traffic fairies were totally on our side: we got a great spot on a crowded day for some great shots at the Griffith Observatory . And Lydia was SUCH a trooper. It was freezing. Not just cold, absolutely freezing; and she kept a sweet smile the entire time; even when the camera was off.

But they make great backdrops for photos.

Cathy and Aaron chose the location and I’m so glad they did-it was perfect. They love coming here on the weekends to ride bikes, feed the ducks, and just hang out-it’s easy to see why.

They were SUCH a sweet couple to work with; and were **very** kind and tolerant when towards the end of the session, my newfound fear of massive flocks of geese was discovered.

Not that long to go now! See you soon and thank you again; I’m really looking forward to September.

It’s a tie-I can’t pick.

But, I can say, Erin and Dave, your wedding was so beautiful. It was a thoughtful, tasteful, classic and loving day (And I just saw the photos). And even though I wasn’t there, I could see the love, emotion-and humor-that marked your wedding day. Some of these you’ve seen, other’s you haven’t, and the rest are on their way to you soon. Brian came home that night absolutely raving about your day (and the sock monkey cake).

Ok, so there were some perfectly coordinated shoes before the skull slippers…

I LOVED working with this couple (even with the USC Marching band at the reception); they were just so genuine, sweet, funny, snarky, organized; yet relaxed…and CUTE (bonus); not only in how they looked, but how they interacted with each other; they were just fun to watch. They knew what they wanted for their photos and trusted Brian and I completely; and for that, we are touched. They were kind enough to leave a review of us on project wedding that brought me to absolute tears (in a good way, not in an “OMG what happened I think my camera exploded” way).

I was so attached to these photos I had to let someone else design their album; I was just too drawn to every image; I can remember the stories behind them (and, ahem, why we had to do certain poses-I won’t call anyone out…just sayin’ though. LOLOL!!!), what we were doing, what they said to each other during their first look…and that’s an amazing problem to have.

This is probably one of my favorite wedding photos of all time:

It had JUST started to drizzle so the sun was just poking thought the clouds…talk about luck!

He survived…

Well, OK then.

We met and about 45 minutes later we had all the details worked out; it also helped that when we did need to meet before the wedding again, our families literally live about 10 minutes from each other. Bonus.

I am still in disbelief as to how smoothly the entire day went-it was actually, AHEAD OF SCHEDULE (with Nancy being a chemist, I can’t say I was that surprised, but still…it’s a wedding, things happen). It was so ahead of schedule, in fact, that it allowed us to take advantage of a rare, quiet afternoon around the historic hotel grouns for some amazing photos.

These next two photos are why I *always* encourage brides and grooms to hire two photographers. Here is my version:

And other times, it’s a great excuse to have fabulous portraits taken. I like both reasons.

Ilaria and I met up at the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District and spent part of the afternoon getting some amazing photos!
