Wow, where do I start? There’s been a lot going on around here these past few weeks: sessions, weddings, more weddings, events, my little pumpkin taking his first steps, more weddings…
With everything that’s been happening, I wanted to take a small step back and sort of reevaluate Karen Leah Photography: our philosophy, our clients, our reviews (amazing—thank you!), our service, and our pricing. Even before my own wedding, I always strived to make my packages as affordable as possible and tried to be flexible about pricing whenever feasible.
No matter where their wedding was, or at what time of year, if I had a client who was straightforward about their budget (or lack thereof) and asked if I could be flexible with them on my fee, I really went out of my way to try to do SOMETHING to help them when possible, because I feel that everyone deserves great photography. Now, were there people who took advantage of this over the years? Sadly, yes. But this was rare, and offering modified or discounted packages enabled us to give people an experience that they may have otherwise not been able to afford.
Having planned my own wedding celebration recently, I completely understand when couples want their weddings to be as cost effective as possible and prioritize costs where they can.
With this in mind, I’ve made a few slight adjustments to the packages. I’ve chosen some amazing album and print companies who will enable me to continue offering packages starting under $2000.
We know how stressful wedding planning can be, and we’re happy to introduce our effortless pricing to all of our couples. No matter what day of the week or time of the year your event takes place, we want to make our pricing as easy as possible for everyone.
A package #3 for a Sunday wedding will cost the same as a package #3 for a Saturday night wedding. A December wedding package will cost the same as a July wedding package, and all of our clients (as always) will receive the same great service we pride ourselves on. All of our couples will continue to get the same high-quality albums, and the same excellent photos taken by people who treat your wedding like their own.
Yes, we will still occasionally offer incentives and custom packages; however, with our new pricing structure, we can assure you that our package prices really are our best possible rates. We feel it’s important to be fair and respectful to all of our fantastic couples (and potential couples); and we believe that our new, effortless pricing will enable us to continue doing just that.
